Georgetown history - on CNN tonight

The Georgetown Digital Library, part of the Georgetown County Library, will be mentioned on CNN's Anderson Cooper tonight at 10:00 pm. The episode features Michelle Obama, who has family connections to Georgetown County. CNN is using some of the images from the Digital Library for this feature!

We are very excited for Georgetown, because we will soon be contributing to their digital library which is also a part of the South Carolina Digital Library (SCDL)

Kimbel Library is now the Pee Dee Regional Scanning Center for the South Carolina Digital Library. We will be assisting institutions in the Pee Dee Region (Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, and Marlboro Counties) by scanning their collections as well as providing additional technical assistance so that their selected collections can also be a part of the SCDL.
